Anatoly Kolotilin is the President of Nafta Moskva in Moscow, who we would assume would be managing things with Kerimov as he recovers. Here is Kolotilin's official bio: A graduate of the Oil Institute (1958). Thereafter held a number of posts within the system of Mingazprom (the USSR Ministry of the Gas Industry). In 1981-1986 was Deputy minister of the USSR Gas Industry. In 1986-1992 worked in Iraq (embassy adviser of economic matters, trade representative of the USSR and Russia). Has headed JSC "Nafta Moskva" since 1992.

Born in the southern Russian republic of Dagestan near Chechnya and the Caspian Sea. Worked as an economist at the Eltav factory in Dagestan and at other electronics companies. In early 1990s moved to Moscow and began buying up companies on the cheap and selling them for a profit. These include: Vnukovo Airlines (one of the biggest air carriers in Russia), Murmansk Airport, Avtobank, Nosta metal plant and Ingosstrakh insurance company, as well as a huge stake of preferred shares in Transneft, the oil-transportation monopoly. Since 2004 Kerimov has been buying shares in state-run Gazprom (the world's largest natural gas producer) and Sberbank (the biggest retail bank in the country), which now form the core of his wealth.

#72 Suleiman Kerimov (Suleyman Abusaidovich Kerimov)

But now his plans to transform that empire, the sprawling Nafta-Moskva holding, into a Western-style investment group may be up in the air.

The Moscow Times provides further resolution on Suleiman Kerimov and the future business prospects: [Kerimov] went from balancing the books at a television factory in Dagestan to controlling an intensely secretive business empire in a decade.

The vehicle spun out of control on the rain-slicked road, slammed into a tree and burst into flames. Kerimov, engulfed in flames, pulled himself out of the car and rolled on the nearby grass, police said.

This Reuter's excerpt provides further details:Kerimov purchased the Ferrari Enzo sports car [a 12-cylinder model that can accelerate to 100 kilometers (60 miles) per hour in 3.2 seconds] in Nice earlier on Saturday, police said. Witnesses told investigators that the car had been weaving in and out of cars at high speeds on the seaside Promenade des Anglais, Nice's best-known thoroughfare, police said.

On November 25, while driving from Nice airport on the Promenade des Anglais, Russian Billionaire Suleiman Kerimov hit (at an unknown speed) a sidewalk with his Enzo Ferrari. The car went over the sidewalk to crash into a nearby tree and burst into flames. He suffered severe burns and as of November 26, his doctors were not sure he would recover. He was reportedly placed into a medically induced coma to facilitate his treatment.
